Happy New Year! As a tradition we all often start a resolution list for the new year. How we want to change, the things we promise to start or stop doing. The list we hold ourselves to that promises perfection. The problem is we are already perfect exactly the way we are, and failure to see that and accept it leads to imaginary failure and self defeat and these lists usually only last a month or so. We do so great when we come racing out of the gates on January 1, only to realize we have an image in our heads of someone else we could never be and is not who we really are. Truth is we need to be ready for these changes in order to be successful at them, and the start of a new year is simply not a good enough reason. So, instead of a resolution this year, why not create an INTENTION list? Write down the things you intend to have or want...realistically? The more you write them and think about them the more chance you have at manifesting them.Accept yourself the way you are and work at changing things one at at time. Know that the way you are now is perfect. When you create a resolution list, you are constantly thinking about one thing...failure.Right? You are never thinking about accomplishing your goals...you are thinking about NOT FAILING at your goals. Big difference. You are constantly thinking about failure. So in truth, you are manifesting failure with your intentions, anyway. What you think about, you bring about. Remember the law of attraction? So since you will be manifesting and intending anyway, why not do it the more positive, more productive way?Start be writing down positive affirmations about yourself. Create a list of 5 things you really like about YOU.Accept yourself the way you are with these affirmations and really read them aloud to yourself over and over. Close your eyes and really feel how good these things are about you. Now write one thing you would like to change, but realize it is also a loving part of you as well. Then write a specific way you would like to go about changing this one thing. Create a clear cut plan of what you will do different that will get you one step closer to your goal. Most people continue to do the same things over and over out of habit, so change your routine. Go to a different store, make new friends, join new groups, etc. You will be surprised how easily new routines can be created. Always remember no matter what, everything is always perfect and always unfolds as it should. Whatever is meant to be will always find it's way. I love you! Happy 2011!
Namaste,Renee
